Sam Robertson on Beaver Falls

Sam, who played Mike Baldwin's son Adam, stars as one of three Brits who blag their way into working at a posh US summer camp.

And in the first episode the hunk, 25, gets frisky with 44-year-old Irish actress Alison Doody, who plays the predatory wife of the camp's leader.

Sam - smoothie Andrew Spencer in the show - said: "Alison's a beautiful lady - and a fantastic kisser.

"And I have never kissed an Irishwoman, so she was ticking a lot of boxes."

He added: "Alison is 20 years older than me but both of us were nervous when we read the script.

"She is an older woman and I don't think she had done a sex scene with an actor my age before. She was a bit worried, but when we got on set it worked."

Sam said his mates were jealous of all his raunchy scenes in the show, which starts later this month and has already been dubbed the new Inbetweeners.

He said: "My character gets a lot of action and I wasn't complaining.

"My mates were all saying 'you jammy b******'."

Beaver Falls is Sam's first major role since leaving Corrie in 2007, but his time on the ITV soap - his first acting job - still haunts him.

He said his character Adam, who was Ken Barlow's grandson, gave the scriptwriters a headache. Sam said: "No one knew what to do with my character, myself or the producers, and it didn't really work out. My character wasn't fully-formed.

"It was really overwhelming, but I'd love to go back one day. I couldn't handle fame the first time, but I'll be better equipped now."

Sam and co-stars Arsher Ali, John Dagleish and Natasha Loring filmed in South Africa earlier this year.

Arsher, 27, who starred in suicide bomber film Four Lions, said all the lads became close. He said: "John and me had a bit of a bromance - we'd drink tea looking up at the stars at night."

John said Beaver Falls was different from his role in BBC1 costume drama Lark Rise to Candleford- because he swore constantly and had his BUM out most of the time.

He added: "It was the first time I have been clothes-less in front of a camera and it was really nerve-racking.

"I haven't seen the show yet but the thought of seeing my naked bottom on screen is terrifying.
