... There will be a lot of white voters of the working class showing at the polls next November, and the extent to which they support (or leave) Obama could very well make or break his re-election.

In 2008, during his otherwise solid electoral victory, Obama lost the white working class vote by 18 points. In 2010, however, things are much worse: the Democrats in Congress "had a disastrous 30-point deficit in the same group. While the first digit is a digit Obama could live with repetition, the second could s prove to be fatal.

Indeed, if the Republicans can replicate that in 2012 the 30-point deficit-a margin that seems possible given the latest news about the bad economy Obama has little or no room for error among its other constituencies .

Some questions:

1. Who is the white working class?
