The following notices have been submitted for publication in the Saturday edition of the San Angelo Standard-Times.

SAN ANGELO — Bobby Howell, 75, died Tuesday, May 17, 2011. Graveside service is at 2 p.m. today in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Johnson’s Funeral Home.

Survivors include his sons, Joseph Howell of Austin, Bruce Howell of Abilene and Stanley Howell of Phoenix; sisters Billie Jean Blackburn and Betty White, both of San Angelo; and brother Marion Davis of Canton.

SAN ANGELO — Wanda Lanell Chapman Derby, 81, died Wednesday, May 18, 2011. Graveside service is at 3 p.m. today in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Johnson’s Funeral Home.

Survivors include her husband, Frank Derby; daughters Pamela Ann Derby of San Angelo and Diana Derby Reed of Dublin; sisters Opal Hudson, Helen Nance, Beverly Cortese and Sharon Eubanks; and brothers Leroy (Sonny) Chapman, Johnny Chapman, Billy Chapman and Jerry Chapman.

SAN ANGELO — Kenneth Ray Zile, 63, died Thursday, May 19, 2011, in a local hospital. Service will be at a later date. Arrangements are by Johnson’s Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Josephine Zile of San Angelo; daughters Melanie Morrison of San Angelo and Moriah Morgan of Arizona; and sister Patricia Toroop of California.

SAN ANGELO — Kathleen Helen Emerson Fuson, 50, died Thursday, May 19, 2011, in a local hospital. Memorial service is at 2 p.m. today in Robert Massie Funeral Home chapel.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Fuson; parents Gordon and Margaret Emerson of San Angelo; brother Mark Emerson of San Angelo; and sister Mary Ellen Dabney of San Angelo.

COLEMAN — Hugh Lynn Thate, 76, of Santa Anna, died Thursday, May 19, 2011, at his residence. Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Stevens Funeral Home. Graveside service is at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Santa Anna Cemetery.

Survivors include his son, Allen Lynn Thate of Santa Anna; and sisters Ruby Marie McFarland of Coleman, Melba Jean Salmon of Kansas City and Alma Jane Laird of Arlington.

BRADY — Ruby Lee Thornton D’Orio, 89, died Wednesday, May 18, 2011. Service is at 10:30 a.m. today at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels with burial in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Survivors include her son, Thomas Wayne “Butch” Thornton of Brazoria; daughetrs Brenda McBee of Brady and Pam Waddell of Brazoria; brother Bob Parks of Garland; and sister Jeanine Willis of Brady.

I like to call myself an Impressionist Painter. I love the painterly style of the Impressionists--their subject matter is always recognizable but the paint strokes are loose and exciting. I paint in oils and love all subject matter, believing that it is how you paint and not what you paint that is important. I have a degree in secondary art education from the University of New Mexico, but but being a military wife and mother of 4 was my main occupation for many years. For the last 15 years I have been able to really focus on my art. I have taken numerous workshops and always benefited from every teacher. I now show my work at the River Art Gallery in San Antonio and also at the Little Green Store on Monte Sano here in Alabama. I have a blog where you can leave a comment and see my newest work.
