Prior to forming Casablanca Media Publishing, Glinert was an entertainment lawyer for more than 25 years, during which time he advised such clients as Ray Charles, David Letterman, Muddy Waters, James Cotton, Jim Carey and Howie Mandel, as well as record companies, music publishers, artists, writers, producers, film and television corporations, and private investment groups. He also had extensive experience as an agent and promoter. He was the co-owner of adult-contemporary leaning National Variety Promotions that presented acts such as Liza Minnelli, Frank Sinatra and Don Rickles and produced the stage play "Pirates of Penzance," starring Barry Bostwick and Andy Gibb.
